She nodded slightly. There was always pressure to be perfect. She leaned over and began to rub his shoulders for him.
"You're gonna do fine. You always do, you're smart," she said. "I was thinking of getting the hell out of town for the summer."
She hadn't talked much with him about what was supposed to happen to them after that. Teenagers didn't have a lot of foresight.
