After school ended that day, Stuart surprised Guinevere by taking her to see the old monastery a few miles away. It had always been one of his favourite places in Sheffield, a nice piece of history to look at and touch. He hoped she could appreciate it too.

"So... Here we are," he grinned, leaving his bicycle by the tree.

"You're special to me too, Guin." He smiled, caressing her cheek lovingly.

Unlike many other boys, Stuart had more than sex on his mind. But he also couldn't deny how beautiful and irresistible Guinevere was.

"I know. You tell me a lot, and I appreciate that." She smiled gently back at him. He wasn't shy at expressing his feelings to her, even if like most teenage boys he would resist doing so in front of his friends, so that they wouldn't make fun of him for it. But she liked hearing from him that she was valued.

"What would you want to do?" she asked, knowing they could sit and talk for hours. "If you could do anything."

One day he would stop caring about his friends teasing him for being in love. Guinevere was the most wonderful girl he knew and he wanted the whole world to know.

"Anything? I would travel the world with you. Anywhere our hearts take us."

“That would be a blast. But we have to finish school first. I know that much.”

She laughed softly. She wanted a good life for both of them and knew education was a must. She would want to support them both and not just on her family’s money.

“I’m glad you’re sticking with me. I was worried we’d break up.”

"We'll finish school first, but we can already dream about the places we'll visit."

That would give them both the chance to save up some more funds. Stuart wanted to take her to a few romantic spots all over Europe.

"You can't get rid of me that easy," he grinned cheekily. "For what it's worth, I'm crazy about you."

"Aw, I'm crazy about you too." Guin smiled as she reached down and squeezed his hand affectionately. When the two of them were alone she could often be quite mushy with him, though she never liked to show that side of herself in public. "I have faith we can work it all out."

Stuart loved how she could be so mushy with him in private, like their special thing. He was the same with her. "I have faith, too. This is something truly special, Guin."

[aimlesswonder]

"Well, you started it." Guin gave him a playful nudge with her elbow. He was the one who'd started flirting after he'd volunteered to show her around the school. Not that she'd put up much of a fight. "What should we do this weekend? I promised my mom I'd call, but other than that I'm free. Maybe we can go to a movie or something?"

"A movie sounds great," Stuart grinned, returning the playful nudge. "We can have dinner after. Do whatever else we feel like, too."

"Why, you have something else in mind?" Guin asked curiously. It wasn't uncommon for them to make a night of things, taking a walk down the boardwalk after grabbing a burger or having dinner after a movie. They were surprisingly sophisticated for kids their age. "I wish I could introduce you to my mom. Think she'd love you."

Their date nights were always special. Stuart loved doing anything and everything with his girlfriend. "I won't mind if we ended up sleeping in the same bed afterward."

Stuart smiled, "I'd love to meet her too."

[aimlesswonder]

"Of course you would, you're a horny teenage boy." Guin punched him gently in the arm playfully. "You love it every time we end up in the same bed together."

She sighed thinking of her mom though. "I miss her."

"I can't really deny that," Stuart chuckled, rubbing his arm. "I've got the prettiest, most amazing girlfriend."

He rested his hand on hers, squeezing gently. "We'll go see her someday. I promise."

[aimlesswonder]

“You would do that for me?” She was surprised. “You know she lives in Beverly Hills?”

"I'd fly all the way to Moon for you, Guin." Stuart said, meaning each word. "I'd love to meet and talk to her."

[aimlesswonder]

"That is really, incredibly sweet of you." Guin was touched and her tough exterior faltered again. "I think she'd love you. At least I want her to."

"I want to thank her personally for bringing such an extraordinary, beautiful girl into this world." Stuart felt that small flutter in his chest again as he looked at her.

[aimlesswonder]

"My God, you are so freaking sappy." But Guinevere giggled when she said it. She secretly loved when he said these things to her, had from the first moment he'd used that Shakespeare quote on her. It made him stand out from the rest. She leaned over and kissed him softly as if to tell him she secretly liked it, if he hadn't figured that out already.

He returned the kiss, smiling against her lips. It was enough to tell him she liked it when he spoke honestly about his feelings, no matter how cheesy he thought he sounded. "I'm so mad about you."

[aimlesswonder]

"Yeah, well, the feeling's mutual." Guinevere could be equally honest, just a lot less eloquent. It was the brash American in her. "I guess we'll see what happens when we get back and I fill out the Oxford application...so what do we do now then?"

She didn't want to bank on being able to follow him. The only time they knew they had together, for sure, were these last few months of the semester.

"You want to go somewhere warmer?" He asked while wrapping an arm around her shoulders, holding her close. "I have a feeling you'll get accepted. You're one of the smartest students. They'd be fools not to have you."

[aimlesswonder]

"Didn't think I was that smart." Guin chuckled softly, resting her head against his shoulder as he held her against him. "Mm but yeah. Warmer would be nice. Where do you want to go?"

He kissed her softly. "We could go get some coffee or another warm drink."

[aimlesswonder]

"We could go to that sandwich place we like. Get some soup, sandwiches, just relax for a while." Guin suggested. They knew a nice place that had sandwiches, soups, pastries and comfortable chairs; it was a place they could spend an hour or two just relaxing and working on homework. "What time are you supposed to be home tonight?"

She just had the dorm to go back to, but she didn't want his family looking for him or worried about him.

"Brilliant idea, Guin. I could go for the soup special right about now," Stuart grinned, poking her side playfully. It had become their go-to place when they wanted a more relaxed study environment, along with the delicious smells and good food.

He stood up, his hand in hers. It wasn't a long walk from where they were.
